If you’re not finding exactly what you’re looking for, custom couture may be the perfect choice for your special day.

Whether you’re the bride, the *mother of the bride or groom, or a guest/hostess dressing for a truly important event, I’d love to create something that feels unmistakably you.

In the heart of NYC’s Garment District, my private showroom and design house is where we design and build gowns with intention, artistry, and meticulous fit through private appointments and one-on-one attention.

What a Custom Appointment With Me Looks Like

1) Consultation: finding *your* silhouette

We begin with a personal consultation with my knowledgeable staff and with me, where we explore what styles flatter you most and what you want to feel like when you walk into the room.

2) Customization: making it yours

This is where the magic becomes personal. We can elevate and refine your look with details such as:

- Sleeves

- One-shoulder options

- A new neckline

- A caplet

- A jacket

…and other design enhancements that bring the gown to life in a way that’s meant for you.

3) Sketch + measurements

Once we’ve shaped the design and you enter into an agreement to have your custom gown made by Paula Varsalona, I’ll have a sketch drawn up, and we’ll take your proper measurements.

4) Your custom muslin fitting

You’ll return for a custom muslin fitting made to your exact dimensions. This is where we perfect the fit and make any changes needed before we cut into your final fabric.

5) Formal production begins

After the muslin is approved, your gown moves into formal production.

6) Final fitting + finishing touches

You’ll come in one last time to see your dress in a near-complete state. If everything is perfect, we’ll place the final zipper and complete finishing details.

7) Pickup: your gown, ready for your moment

You’ll return to pick up your gown, ready to be worn for your special event.
